Die Biografie von Pitbull

Als Sohn zweier Exil-Kubaner wurde Pitbull am 15. Januar 1981 in Miami, Florida, geboren. Schon früh prägte Sprache sein Leben, denn seine Eltern brachten ihm die Poesie kubanischer Dichter nahe. Nachdem seine Eltern sich scheiden ließen, wuchs er zunächst bei seiner Mutter auf. Er geriet in Schwierigkeiten und musste, nach Beginn illegaler Aktivitäten, zu einer Pflegefamilie nach Roswell, Georgia ziehen. Dies hinderte ihn jedoch nicht daran, seinen Traum von einer Musikkarriere entschlossen zu verfolgen. Inspiriert durch seine Hartnäckigkeit und dem unbedingten Willen zum Erfolg, wählte er den Künstlernamen Pitbull.

Pitbulls musikalische Erfolge

Anfangs hatte Pitbull Schwierigkeiten, im Musikgeschäft Fuß zu fassen. Der Durchbruch gelang ihm mit der Unterstützung von Lil Jon 2002, als er den Song “Culo” veröffentlichte, der Platz 11 in den US-Charts erreichte. Mit seinem Debütalbum M.I.A.M.I. etablierte er sich schließlich in der Musikszene. International berühmt wurde er durch seine Hits “I Know YOU Want Me (Calle Ocho)” und “Give Me Everything”, die weltweit in den Clubs und Online Radios gespielt werden. Insgesamt veröffentlichte er bis heute elf Studioalben und arbeitete mit Stars wie Jason Derulo, Sean Paul und Chris Brown zusammen.

Beliebtheit in der Filmindustrie

Seine Songs sind auch in Hollywood gefragt. So komponierte Pitbull den Titelsong für Men in Black 3 und schuf mit “We Are One (Ole Ola)”, gemeinsam mit Jennifer Lopez, die offizielle Hymne der Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 2014 in Brasilien. Diese Kollaborationen unterstreichen seine Vielseitigkeit und den breiten musikalischen Einfluss, den er ausübt.

Aktuelle Projekte und Entwicklungen

Pitbull bleibt ein fester Bestandteil der Musikindustrie. Sein elftes Album “Libertad 548” wurde im September 2019 veröffentlicht und enthält die Single “No Lo Trates”. 2020 brachte er zusammen mit Blake Shelton “Get Ready” heraus, welches das klassische “Black Betty” zitiert. Er entwickelt seinen Stil stetig weiter und bleibt innovativ, was ihm weiterhin eine zentrale Rolle in der internationalen Musikszene sichert.
